Andrea Santy

Director, Russell E. Train Education for Nature Program

Andrea Santy is the Director of WWF’s Russell E. Train Education for Nature Program (EFN). EFN aims to build capacity for conservation leadership in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. She joined WWF in 2001 and is a member of the WWF Gender Task Force. From 2005 – 2010, Andrea led an initiative to build capacity for protected area management in the Andean-Amazon region. Today, Andrea oversees the management of EFN’s programs, including Russell E. Train Fellowships, Professional Development Grants, Conservation Workshop Grants, and special programs such as the Women in Conservation Program for the Congo Basin. Andrea has over 15 years of experience working in international education. She holds a bachelor’s in international relations from the University of Dayton, Ohio and a master’s in international communications with a specialization in international training and education from American University, Washington, DC.
