Sally A. Ranney

Sally Ranney is Co-founder of IWECI; President, American Renewable Energy Institute (AREI); board member, Climate Mitigation Services, LLC; Patron of Nature, IUCN and serves on the Global Advisory Committee of Women and The Green Economy (WAGE). Thirty-five years of experience span public/private sectors in energy, water, biodiversity, climate change, forest and land use policy. A former Resource Policy Analyst for The Wilderness Society and Co-founder/CEO/President of American Wildlands for twenty years, she was appointed by President Reagan to his Presidential Commission on American Outdoors and co-created for President Clinton a $615mm youth conservation corps, components included in Americorps. Ranney founded/chairs eraGlobal Alliance and Co-founded Matter of Degree, a TV pilot examining climate change. Awards/recognitions: TED speaker, TEDx Denver, Horace Albright Award, International Conservationist Award and Steward of our Future Award.  With an MA in Education, Ranney did her doctoral study at Yale University School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.
