Report Back from the Rights of Nature Tribunal in Glasgow: Foundations for Systemic Change in Climate Solutions

GLASGOW, Scotland  (November 4, 2021) – On November 5, international leaders of the Rights of Nature movement will present an analysis and report back of the recent Rights of Nature Tribunal, held November 3-4 in parallel to the UNFCCC COP26 in Glasgow, Scotland.

The International Rights of Nature Tribunal is an international institution established by citizens to investigate and publicize Rights of Nature violations. It creates a forum for people from all around the world to speak on behalf of Nature, and makes juridical recommendations about Earth’s protection and restoration as modeled jurisprudence for frontline communities.

Amongst various topics, speakers will share further details about the 2021 Tribunal cases: the “Amazon, a threatened living entity” case and the “False solutions to the climate change crisis” case. The two cases were presented by frontline, impacted communities and experts from around the world, and heard by a panel of globally recognized Rights of Nature judges.
