City/Country: Madison, Wisconsin, USA
My family, friends, and I believe in climate justice. We've experienced flooding in Wisconsin, rising stream temperatures, and milder winters - which means less die off for pests, which means more pesticides running off into our lakes. We're standing at the Milwaukee River in Kewaskum Wisconsin, an origin of rich Native American history, to show sympathy and solidarity with those protesting to protect water ways and land rights in North Dakota. We want our voices to be heard among the leaders of our country - we demand stronger climate change policies, support for green technology, and climate justice for the people.
