Working in all ways to stop the Algonquin Pipeline, and the massive fossil fuel infrastructure buildout in NY. We may have temporarily banned Fracking in NY, but the infrastructure is being built to fortify a massive transport and storage hub while corporations grapple for relevancy in a dying industry. Update on the Spectra Algonquin Pipeline Project running through New England: Westchester County, NY - On October 28, 2016, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) hastily granted approval for Spectra Energy to deviate from its original plan and run large quantities of fracked gas at intense pressure through old pipelines that are under the Indian Point nuclear power (IPEC) facility. The not yet completed AIM pipeline project has unresolved problems and as a result now has a different operational plan. A green light, however, was given to Spectra without conducting the required risk assessment and analysis of safety procedures for these significant operational modifications.

Over the last few years, many incredible women have become consumed with the work of protecting our futures. This is nothing new, many of the women featured in this playlist, are introducing themselves to a new audience, perhaps, but the work has been their lifeline for varying but major amounts of time. I, Myself, have only recently, in the last two or three years, stepped up to take action on climate and social justice. The only reason I am able to do what I do is with the mentorship and partnership with woman like these Water Protector Goddesses. Without them, I would not have taken the liberty to look outside of my own back yard, and discover a world of need—Need for the women to step back up and take leadership in protecting our futures... This is just a mere slice of the powerful and beautiful women here in the New York area taking strong action on climate. Be it through art, music, frontline activity, policy work, organizing and collaborating... there are so many more, and this list will grow as I find the time to add to this list... So come back and see this one grow... Right now, this is primarily New York Women. But that will change too ;) I thank each and every one of these incredible women for their strength and Generosity, a playlist does no justice!.
